• Build a strong foundation by learning essential vocabulary, grammar, and verb conjugation, while developing basic conversation skills to ask and answer everyday questions about yourself, your routine, and the world around you.
• Learn to express yourself in daily life by sharing preferences and opinions, and gain the language tools to navigate practical situations such as shopping, dining, and giving directions.
• Practice conversation skills by talking about travel plans and daily activities, and by describing past events using the main Portuguese verb tenses.
• Review and practice essential content, including how to talk about daily routines, hobbies, food, and past experiences using key verbs and tenses like present, future, and past (pretérito perfeito and imperfeito).
• Be introduced to intermediate-level grammar, including the subjunctive mood (present, imperfect, and future) and compound tenses, with practical applications for real-life conversations.
• Expand your vocabulary with idiomatic expressions and
travel-related topics to improve your fluency and conversational skills.
• Gain a strong foundation in grammar, including word formation, subject-verb agreement, verb tenses, and verbal moods such as the imperative and subjunctive. Delve into advanced topics like compound tenses, object pronouns, and pronominal verbs.

What is the best course for me?
If you’re starting your learning journey now or have studied for less than 3 months, we recommend you take our courses in the following order:

- Pre-Intermediate Workshop (upper-beginner level, A2)
- Grammar in Conversation Workshop (intermediate level, B1)
- Speaking Brazilian Academy (upper-intermediate & advanced, B1, B2, C1)

How does the Core Courses program work?
Our core courses combine a self-paced digital course with live classes on Zoom, taught by a Brazilian teacher in a small group setting.
You can choose between:
- Basic Plan: self-paced digital course only
- Premium Plan: digital course + group lessons + weekly Q&A sessions
The courses are divided into 12 modules. Each module includes textbooks, video lessons, audio lessons, speaking exercises, and quizzes to test what you’ve learned.
We recommend completing one module per week. If you fall behind, you can always return to the lessons at your own pace.
The Premium Plan also includes 12 weeks of group classes on Zoom (4–8 students per class). You’ll be able to select your class schedule when you sign up.
You’ll receive an email reminder one hour before each class with the Zoom link. If you can’t attend live, all classes are recorded and available for 30 days.
How does the Membership Program work?
Our Membership Program for intermediate and advanced learners combines a self-paced digital course with live Zoom classes led by a Brazilian teacher in a small group setting.
You can choose between:
- Basic Membership: includes the digital course + weekly Q&A sessions
- Premium Membership: everything in the Basic Plan + weekly conversation classes
When you sign up, you’ll get immediate access to all past modules (80+ available) to study at your own pace, plus one new module released each month.
The Premium Membership also includes weekly group classes on Zoom (4–8 students) with a focus on conversation. You’ll be able to select your class schedule when you sign up.
You’ll receive an email reminder one hour before each class with the Zoom link. If you can’t attend live, all classes are recorded and available for 30 days.
When does the course start and finish?
The Premium Plan follows a set schedule with group classes for 12 weeks.
If you join the Membership Program (Academy), your classes will continue for as long as you remain a member.
We have new cohorts starting three times a year, in February, May, and September.
The Basic Plan is a completely self-paced online course – you decide when you start and when you finish. We recommend studying one module a week to complete the course in 12 weeks.
How long do I have access to the course?
You’ll have lifetime access to the digital course, so you can revisit your lessons anytime. Lifetime access does not apply to memberships.
Live sessions in the Premium Plan are available for 12 weeks from the time you sign up, or for as long as you remain a member in the Membership Program.
When can I sign up for the course?
The Premium Plan (with live sessions) is offered three times a year in February, May, and September. Registration opens a couple of weeks before each start date.
