Eu preparei duas lições sobre números em português. Na última lição, você aprendeu a contar de 0 a 100 e nesta lição, você vai aprender a contar de 101 a 1 bilhão.
Não é difícil usar números em português. Você precisa apenas memorizar os números principais, que são as unidades, as dezenas, as centenas, e os milhares, e depois vamos apenas conectar as palavras.
Centenas: 100-1000
Você já aprendeu os números de 0 a 100. Vamos agora estudar as centenas, de 100 a 1000.

Números têm gênero?
Você lembra que eu mencionei no vídeo passado que as centenas variam em gênero?
Vamos ver alguns exemplos:
- Eu comprei duzentos cadernos e duzentas canetas.
- Tem quinhentos carros na rua.
- Tem quinhentas pessoas na rua.
Lembre-se que quase sempre usamos os números no masculino. Usamos os números no feminino apenas para nos referir diretamente a um substantivo feminino.
Esta variação de gênero acontece apenas com os números 1 e 2, e com as centenas. Os outros números não variam em gênero.

Por exemplo, como você diria este número em português?
1965- Mil, novecentos e sessenta e cinco.
Para dizer o número 1000, você não precisa dizer um mil, dizemos apenas “mil”. A partir de 2 mil, você precisa dizer a quantidade de milhares.
2000 – Dois mil
3000 – Três mil
10000 – Dez mil
E assim por diante.

Em português, nós não dizemos os anos em dezenas, como dizemos em inglês: 2020 - Twenty twenty.
Em português, precisamos dizer o número completo.

Como conectar os números
Lembre-se que nós sempre devemos usar a conjunção “e” entre as centenas, dezenas e unidades, mas não usamos a conjunção “e” entre os milhares e as centenas, a menos que o número termine em uma centena.
Por exemplo:
1982 – Mil novecentos E oitenta E dois
1900 – Mil E novecentos
1800 – Mil E oitocentos

Observe que as palavras “milhão” e “bilhão” variam em número, singular e plural.

Isso não acontece com o número mil, por exemplo.
Mil, dois mil, três mil. A palavra “mil” não varia.

Now, let's begin our lesson.
I prepared two lessons about numbers in Portuguese. In the last lesson, you learned to count from 0 to 100 and in this lesson, you will learn to count from 101 to 1 billion.
It’s not difficult to use numbers in Portuguese. You just need to memorize the main numbers, which are the units, the tens, the hundreds, and the thousands, and then we'll just connect the words.
Hundreds: 100-1000
You have already learned the numbers from 0 to 100. We will now study the hundreds, from 100 to 1000.
Repeat after me to practice your pronunciation:
100 – Cem (One hundred)
200 – Duzentos (Two hundred)

- Tem quinhentos carros na rua. (There are five hundred cars on the street.)
- Tem quinhentas pessoas na rua. (There are five hundred people on the street.)
Remember that we almost always use numbers in the masculine form. We use numbers in the feminine form only to refer directly to a feminine noun.
This gender variation happens only with the numbers 1 and 2, and with the hundreds. The other numbers don’t vary in gender.

Now that you know the units, the tens, and the hundreds, it’s very easy to know how to say the numbers in Portuguese, as you will only connect the words.
For example, how would you say this number in Portuguese?

Connecting the numbers
Remember that we should always use the conjunction “and” between hundreds, tens and units, but we don't use the conjunction “and” between thousands and hundreds, unless the number ends in a hundred.

1900 – Mil E novecentos (One thousand AND nine hundred)
